Short but soooo sweet!



This is fun. I can see lots of uses for embedding video. I might want parents to see something pertaining to a lesson. I might want to get my students thinking about a topic before it was actually presented as a lesson. I might just want to do what I just did and make fun of something that is ridiculous.

Thing 8

I am not sure how I will use the Thing 8 things. I like the different image makers and it is fun, but it is also time consuming and right now it seems like an extravagant extra. This mosaic was created using the tag, "parks", I don't know why I chose parks for the tag, but I guess I was looking for outdoor fun. I do know that I will be spending time this summer getting to know all of the things all over again, and practicing, practicing, practicing, in order to make each thing useful to me.

Thing 7

As I was clicking on my blog, I was thinking that I didn't know how I would use Flickr on my school blog. Then my blog popped up and I saw the picture of the sun I put on and I knew. I would use it to post pictures that would allow my students to imagine. I would use it to post pictures to allow my students to wonder. I would use it to post pictures to allow my students to get angry. I would use it to post pictures to allow my students to defend their opinions. And I would use it to ask them to post pictures to explain. I am not sure if I would run into controversy or create it, but then learning doesn't happen if there isn't some sort of dialogue. I think I really love Flickr.

Thing 6

I have enjoyed trying to figure this thing out and will definitely be spending more time with the photo sharing process. I believe using images will enhance any blog, it just makes the reading more interesting. I always did like picture books, still do! I chose this picture because I wanted a picture of the sun and when I came across this one, it just made me happy. I still have to get back to Thing 5, because that one still has me frustrated, this was a breeze compared to that.

Thing 5

Well, I found this thing to be incredibly frustrating. I had a very difficult time following the videos and setting things up, then subscribing to blogs, which I thought would be easy, proved to be even more difficult. I know that the problem is that this is all so foriegn to me, I need someone sitting right beside me explaining and helping. I actually know of someone who already completed 23 Things, and I know someone doing it now, so I am going to enlist their aid. I am going on to Thing 6, but I will be coming back to Thing 5.

Thing 4

I was a bit frustrated with this thing. My email verification did not come right away, so I couldn't continue yesterday and had to wait until tonight to finish. I am not sure what this is really all about, supposedly it is a way to manage things, but I don't quite understand yet. I know I will and I am going on to Thing 5 now hoping it will make things clearer.
