I feel like Dr. Suess! Anyway, because I already have a blog, when I tried to create one for this class I couldn't do it without the blogs being linked. I didn't want that so I asked for help, got it and now I am up and running. I did post a comment after completing Thing 1. I have thought about the article and video more today, and I am actually amazed that so many of the policies at school work against using technology! The idea of letting kids text to ask and answer questions is just facinating to me and I would love to see teachers let their students do this. I am looking forward to learning how to make blogging more interactive, and to be able to promote it as a way to instruct and access. Here we go!

You make a good point that is probably true in many schools -"so many of the policies at school work against using technology!" This course will give you ideas that may convince your school policy-makers that we should be looking at how technology can work for us in teaching and learning. Welcome to 23 Things!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I think part of the problem is that policy makers tend to be "old school." I might suggest that administration and school boards need to be enlightened.
